Who Am I?

Who Am I?

Why I chose to Study on this programme?

I chose to study animation, because cartoons are always something that have interested me, from early childhood with Batman: The Animated series and Dragon Ball on Cartoon Network after school, to present day, still watching Batman: The Animated Series on a regular basis, to now watching a wider variety and different types of Cartoons. I have always been interested in making my own characters and stories, and I have always wanted to see them brought to life, so I aim to make that happen when I have the skills and knowledge.

What do I want to Learn?

I want to learn all styles of animation, from hand drawn, to 3D digital. I have always watched shows and movies that utilise all types of animation, so I am interested in all of it, however if I would have to choose one type to focus on and learn more about right now, it would be 2d digital, I feel as if I would excel in that area the most, although I would like to keep myself open for now, so I can play around and test and decide after I have tried everything.

What are my Strengths?

If I had to name a strength, it would be sketched out drawings, and shadows in my colouring, I love to play with shadows and lighting in my drawings and in my sketches. My main strength is that I am quick, I am able to draw things very fast and in detail, which is not always good because they are very sketchy drawings, but that can be refined later.

Things to Improve?

I have a lot I would like to improve, and a lot I ma trying to improve,  I am trying to work more on the female body in my drawings, I am also trying to make some of my drawings more realistic, and more detailed. There is a lot to improve in my drawings to be at a level which I am satisfied with, but it will come in time and I will keep working hard for it.

Ways to evaluate my Progress?

I will evaluate my progress using my friends, family, and general online sources, asking for critiques in which I can use to better my drawings, animations, and whatever else it may be I choose to share online. This way I can get a wide view on what needs improvement, and how I can improve. Even if it is a few sticky notes here and there.
